Mi Via — Self-Directed
Self-Directed Care,
Fully Supported
Most of what we do is on the DD Waiver — but we're a Mi Via vendor agency too, statewide. If your family self-directs, we handle payroll, taxes, compliance, and daily caregiver pay while you stay in control of the care and the budget.

Mi Via — In-Home Living Supports
Up to $191/day
On Mi Via the rate is negotiated within the participant's capped budget — and much of their other care and benefits come out of that same budget. We put it in your bank account every single day.

Mi Via Services
Two services you can access through Lift
In-Home Living Supports (IHLS)
The caregiver provides care in the participant's home and may need to be available around the clock. A vendor agency like Lift is required. Pay is based on the rate you negotiate — up to $191/day.
Community Supports
The caregiver helps the participant take part in the community and develop skills — volunteering, visiting the local library, or otherwise integrating into community life. The caregiver may be anyone the participant and their guardian choose, so long as they can meet the state requirements.
Common Questions
How is Mi Via different from the DD Waiver?
Mi Via is self-directed: the participant (or their representative) manages a capped budget, approves timesheets, and owns the decisions. The DD Waiver is agency-directed — Lift employs the caregivers and handles hiring, training, and compliance. Mi Via's headline rate is higher, but most other services come out of that same budget.
What does Lift do as a Mi Via vendor?
We handle the employment side: payroll, tax withholding, W-2s, background checks, training verification, and Medicaid compliance documentation. The participant stays in full control of their care and budget.
Where do you serve Mi Via participants?
Statewide — every county, every community in New Mexico.

On the DD Waiver instead?
That's our main program — Family Living pays up to $144/day with the state funding your other services on top, and we handle hiring, training, and compliance for you.
